Tehran Gallery Owners Association

In recent years, different and diverse types of galleries have been developing in the Iranian art scene and have introduced and supported local artists with their international presence in art markets, biennials, and auction houses. However, due to the economic limitations of Iranian trade, this share is not very proportional to the number and level of gallery activity. Given this historical background and the importance of Tehran as one of the important cultural centers of Western Asia, the need to integrate the activities of galleries is strongly felt; the establishment of the Gallery Owners’ Guild Association has been carried out with the aim of expanding and developing the economic activity of gallery ownership and also building a new structure for this profession.
